Mark has left the building...
Mark is on his way south to Texas. It reminds me of the country song that goes something like this: 'I'm going through the Bid D and I don't mean Dallas'. In Mark's case, he's gone through the Big D and is now headed to the Big D.
Mark's had a tough year. He found out his former wife is a lying, narcissistic, adultering loser. So, almost a year ago everything turned upside down and inside out. As I said, it was really tough. Our family closed ranks though and gave him all the support we had to give. For his part, Mark carried himself with incredible grace and honor. He survived something horrible and hopefully realized he possesses unlimited reserves of strength and wisdom. He has my admiration, because I doubt I would have mustered the same grace and honor if our roles were reversed.
Now, he and Taco are headed to Texas to start fresh with a new promotion and what I believe will be boundless opportunities. I wish him all the good things he deserves. A year ago I told him there would be light at the end of the tunnel and it sure as hell wouldn't be a train. What I didn't know was that it would be the scorching Texas sun - but hey - I'm no psychic!
